Mandala- A religious symbol becoming art form
Mandala is a ritual symbol in Hinduism. During many Hindu rituals, mandalas are drawn. Mandala in Sanskrit means , concentric circles. You can read about Mandala and it significance in here.
The mandalas are slowly becoming an art form. Recently I attended , a workshop to draw mandalas. About that, I will share in coming post.
I could capture some photos of mandalas drawn in a ritual (pooja). Though it follows the rules of drawing mandala , it shows the artistic side of the person who has drawn it.
