Acrylic painting on canvas – Birds
I have been learning Acrylic painting on canvas from past three years. Though I am not perfect, I am loving the learning process. First I made Buddha painting, but most of the painting was done by my teacher Rajesh Anandji. So I decided to learn it properly. Last time I had painted floral design. I was bit overconfident after my last acrylic painting. This time I chose bird image from pinterest.
Here is the one I chose and painted:
Why I love acrylic painting:
I have tried my hands in water painting too. But after learning acrylic painting, I am feeling there are many advantages of acrylic painting. And here are the reasons I love acrylic painting.
- Fast drying time: Acrylic paints dry quickly, which allows for layering and blending techniques without having to wait long periods between layers.
- Versatility: Acrylics can mimic the look of oils or watercolors, and can be thinned with water or modified with mediums to create a range of effects.
- Vibrant Colors: Acrylics are known for their bright, vivid colors and high pigment concentration.
- Durability: Acrylics are water-resistant when dry and flexible, making them ideal for outdoor or high-traffic spaces.
Overall, acrylic painting offers a unique combination of speed, versatility, and color intensity, making it an attractive option for many artists.
Coming back to my painting, I could paint the background, basket and the flowers. But failed to paint the birds. Again my teacher completed the birds.
There is no comparison to Rajesh Anandji’s painting skills. How badly I had painted those birds. With few strokes of brush he corrected that and made to look beautiful.
At the end of the workshop, I realised, I need to practise more. I have decided to paint at least two paintings for a week. Let us see how my ptracise goes. 🙂
