Buddha Statue Painting – Acrylic painting
About this Buddha statue painting, I had shared in work in progress post I had shared last week. Normally whatever I share in work in progress post, takes minimum 10 to 15 days to finish. For some I take months. This one I could finish in one week, as this was made in workshop, under expert guidance.
This is an acrylic painting. The acrylic painting workshop was conducted in the studio, where I am a regular student. This was conducted under guidance of Shri Rajesh Anand Sir. I am always fan of his paintings and I consider myself lucky that I have got opportunity to learn from him. He has magic in his hands, with which he creates wonderful paintings. I will write about in detail in coming posts. Last time too I had learnt Buddha painting from him. With the some confidence I chose the image of Buddha statue painting this time. But as went on painting, I understood this painting is beyond my capabilities. This is realistic image. As it progressed I started feeling the difficulty. Only basic painting I made, rest of the painting is completed by the art teacher.
Here is the painting:
You can see the golden color finishing in the painting. This effect is achieved without using any golden or shiny paints. Instead, this is achieved using Yellow ochre , Orange and Brown etc.
You can see one more big painting of Buddha, made by another learner, using different technique.
The painting behind is 5 feet X 5 feet painting.
As a learner , I cannot say I am confident of making such paintings. But I have learnt some techniques of such acrylic paintings. Learning is always a process and there is no end to it. I have decided to improve my skills by enrolling to some short term courses, which is given by Shri Rajesh Anand Sir. About these courses I will write in one of the coming posts. Keep visiting this blog to know about different arts and crafts of the world.
