Cute doll pillow and blanket

This doll pillow and blanket project , made me a kid again 🙂 . The idea is taken from pintrest . I made it for niece. She like soft materials. Initially I just planned to make a pillow with very soft material, with lace edges. Then the idea popped up attaching a doll to it. I made a rag doll , stitched a dress to it.

My niece’s name is, “Swasti”, the name I got it customised and spme butterflies too, in felt cloth. Stuck those with fabric gloe.

First I thought of sewing this doll to the pillow. But once I stitched a dress to the doll, it came out so well, I got addicted to making the dresses for the doll. 🙂 I got an idea that, she can change the dresses every night before sleeping. I stitched six total seven dresses for the doll.

I really loved making this pillow. I made a blanket too, with lace edging and butterfly motifs on it. This is something unique made after years. Though I had made Topsy Turvy doll recently, that had only one dress. 🙂 Here I could make several dresses for the doll. Of course my five year old niece loved it 🙂
