Decoupage on shoe

Decoupage is such an art , can beautify anything. This time I am trying decoupage on shoe. I have tried this art on bottles,  on wooden boxes, trays, purses etc. I have shared tutorial on how to decorate purse with decoupage.

I wanted to learn decoupage on shoe from long time. But the glue used for decoupage on canvas is different from normal decoupage glue. It took some months for my art teacher to get the glue required. I had selected a big size shoe for this project. Recently my little niece has visited our place. For her I tried decoupage on a small size shoe.

As this for little kid, who loves Disney princess like characters, I chose a  similar design tissue. I could not use the whole tissue. I cut the required pictures and stuck it on the shoe.

I have not used identical designs on both the shoes, you can observe that.

That is making the shoes very cute. I had to leave it for 72 hrs after gluing the tissue. But my niece was so excited to wear this. I had to hide it from her , till I applied the varnish. 🙂 It is really fun to work with craft for kids!

It is really fun to work with decoupage. In this tutorial, I have shared how to use lace for decoupage. You cal also try this simple method of decoupage with lace.

As I have mentioned in the beginning, I will trying decoupage on shoe, in bigger size. I will keep you updated about the same in the coming posts.
