Decoupage on storage, designer envelope and Mandala tool box
This week I am storing something unique, which I created for myself. That includes, decoupage on storage, which is always my favourite. Last week was very creative , and lots of craft materials shopping too. These I have used in my many craft projects. Some to gift and some for myself.
The first one is this storage wooden box, which I will be using to store my tatting shuttles. I have loads of tatting shuttles and threads. So many tatting projects I start simultaneously, I fall short of tatting shuttles sometimes :). This box will hold most of my tatting shuttles.
Here is the storage box:
I have used decoupage paper on the top. You can see a tatting lace with a lace material. On that I have stuck a decoupaged tatting shuttle on that. On the side I have decoupaged with a fabric lace, to give it a lacy look.
The tiny pearls are complementing with the lace.
It is a storage box for watches, so it has many compartments.
My tatting shuttles have now beautiful place to get stored:
Next one is to store my Mandala coloring pages. This is like a tool box, where I can store Mandala coloring pages and some plain papers, pens and coloring pens.
This I made with cardboard box which I had a bedsheet which I bought. On the top I stenciled with modeling paste and used a mandala design decoupage paper. I had some Mandala embellishments to complement this. Still I feel, I need to improve a lot in using mixed media.
Inside I have created some compartments to store different tools to draw mandala. All over stuck Mandala coloring pages:
The next two were for my friends. I have already sent these to her and she loved my gifts I sent on her birthday. One is the tray which I decorated with decoupage tissue.
Can you see the sparkle on the tray. That’s because I have used Modpodge sparkle to varnish. It has given really a sparkly look to the tray, which is perfect for the Birthday girl 🙂
And for the same birthday girl, I designed this designer envelope to send a card.
Here I have used distress ink techniques and also stamping.
WOW! It was really a arty crafty week. Hope to have such weeks ahead too. 🙂
