Decoupage on purse tutorial:
Materials required :
A plain purse( an old purse also can be used)
Decoupage tissue/rice paper
Gesso
Decoupage glue
Embellishments/Lace
Decoupage varnish(Optional)
First clean the surface of the purse and apply one or two layers of gesso:
Allow it for drying. Once the gesso dries, select the design , and mark the placement of the design on the purse.
Apply decoupage glue on the purse. The application of the glue should be done on small regions.
The stick the decoupage rice paper. Once that is stuck, then apply decoupage glue further, and stick the rice paper. Once it is completely stuck, covering the purse, allow it to dry.
Then the embellishments and glitters as per your choice can be stuck.
A decoupage varnish can be used for shiny look. I have used mod podge sparkle.
Here is the final look of the designer purse 🙂
