Design of the week- Art journal using mixed media
I am making an art journal using mixed media. I am using an old book for making this art journal. This is like an altered book. Some pages I have designed in this art journal. I am using stamping, stenciling and other techniques of mixed media. In these two pages I have same stencil, both are in pace with each other in the mood.
The two pages designed
On the left side page, I have used stencils with small circles all over. Similar chip board embellishments and laces I have used. The butterfly is from a transfer sheet. Nowadays transfer sheets are very popular. Very easy way of transferring designs. I haven’t used any transfer sheet in my designs or decoupage. This was the first time I used it. I transferred the image on a 270 GSM paper and fuzzy cut it.

The colors used are water colors.
The next page is quite simple. I have used the same stencil for the stenciling. The stamp from Prima and a chip board embellishments. Here too I have used water colors. Here I have used pearl drops which I got from a craft shop.
The right page
Most of the mixed media techniques I have already used in an art journal I made.I am making some more pages using different ideas and themes. I will share many more such arts and crafts projects in coming weeks.
