Design Of The Week – Bridal hairstyle embroidery
Last week I had shared a hairstyle embroidery design. That is little western style. Indian Bridal hairstyle is more colorful and gorgeous than any kind of hairstyle. In South India this is known as “Moggina Jade”. The entire plait is decorated with beautiful combination of flowers. This has become like a must for a bride on her wedding day. In fact , most of the mothers, decorate their daughters with this “Moggina Jade”, during their childhood and get photos clicked.
This is the design I have drawn:
I have used anchor cotton skeins to embroider this. For making braid used the thread in six strands. And the flower decoration with french knot.
I made the flower decoration on black fabric separately and attached those on the braid. Here is the final look:
And the saree and other outlines, I have embroidered with stem stitch.
Here are the closer views:
This is my craziness :). But I thoroughly enjoyed embroidering this “Moggina Jade”, embroidery. Next week will share some regular design.
Until then,
Love, Laugh and Live the life to the fullest,
