Design of the week- elegant saree design with gaudy zari lace
Most of the time we but some items without thinking much. This happens to me when I buy something from online, impressed by the picture shown there. This is the fact with almost all online shoppers. The zari lace too, I bought online. When I got it , I was disappointed, as the lace was not as I had seen on the shopping site. Very gaudy and heavily embroidered with bright zari.

The lace I got from online shop.
I felt deceived and upset. It was lying in my stash for many months. Recently when I visited the cotton market in Bengaluru, I found some beautiful, printed fabric in silk like material. I purchased that keeping in mind of the lace. It matched perfectly with the lace! So here is the design I have made using the printed fabric and the gaudy lace.

On the border I have attached the lace
On one side border I have stitched the border, to highlight that I used piping of contrast fabric.
This is how it looks when worn:

It is better to use printed fabric in case of heavy designed embellishments or lace.
