Design of the week – Running stitch designs
Running stitch is the easiest and basic stitch in embroidery. Though it is basic, many beautiful designs can be embroidered with simple running stitch. In the famous kanta embroidery, running stitch is majorly used.

In designing running stitch has many application. Simple lines can be drawn on the border and this can be decorated with running stitch with different contrast color threads.

Any design which has outlines can be used as running stitch designs. Here I am sharing rose design embroidered using running stitch:

Moth these running stitch designs can be used as motifs for saree, dress etc.
