Designing saree with Old Banarasi saree border
Designing saree, saree make over are my favorite. These both are really challenge to the creativity. I love Banarsi border for the zari work, colorful threads and intricate designs and weaving. This border I used for saree, is bought online. It was in my stash for long. I was searching for prope fabric for this. I got the fabric I wanted. The fabric has all over machine embroidery with sequins work. I would have chosen raw silk. But I didn’t want the same normal look to the saree. To achieve some different look to the saree, I chose the fabric.
The designing was very easy. Just attaching the border along the saree. With the broad border, I selected one more narrow border close with that.

I really loved the fabric. 🙂
Here is how it looks when worn:

I am very happy with the outcome, and the saree too. I am planning to make lace as saree edge or kucchu.
