Festive decorations – Varamahalakshmi Pooje
I could not post anything recently. Life is full of ups and downs. Sometimes in the down, we loose confidence, faith and our daily routine gets changed. Somewhat, I was in the same situation. During this pandemic, most of us are going through bad patch of life But, by the grace of God, I am out of the problems. Rather I got the solutions to the problems. So thought let me start again posting, about divinity 🙂
The festive season is nearing. Though we are going through tough time facing pandemic. One of the most celebrated festival in Bengaluru and South India is Varamahalakshmi Pooje. This is the festival celebrated worshipping Goddess Lakshmi. In my native also this is celebrated, but in a simple way. In Bengaluru, this is celebrated very grandly. It is feast to eyes to see the decorations. In a peculiar way, the idol of Goddess Lakshmi is wrapped with Saree. With all the ornaments , it looks very beautiful.
On the day, the married women are invited to the houses, where they celebrate Varamahakshmi pooje. Last year during pandemic, this festival was celebrated in a simple way. But previous year I had shared a post about my visits to different houses. In few days, this festival will be celebrated, so thought of sharing some decoration ideas. These are shared by my friends.
The face is made of wooden, and placed on a steel pot. The saree is wrapped around that, and decorated with ornaments. This was shared by my friend Nirmala. This was the decoration at her home last year. Every year she decorates very beautifully.
The closer view:
It is so skillfully decorated that, whoever sees this feels, Goddess Lakshmi has arrived , and blessing us.
Next week will share one more festive decoration.
Love, Laugh and Live the life to the fullest,
