How to decoupage with lace – Tutorial

Tutorial on how to decoupage with lace. I have already shared many tutorials on how to decoupage on different surfaces. In this tutorial sharing how to decoupage with lace.

The required materials are:

1) Wooden box

2) Gesso/primer

3)Decoupage glue for fabric and paper

4) Sponge

5) Chalk paint /Acrylic paint

6) Decoupage tissue

7) Brush

8) Varnish and some embellishments of your choice

9) Lace fabric

Required materials

Apply gesso all over the wooden box

Apply gesso

Gesso applied

Wherever the lace to be applied apply the fabric decoupage glue and stick the lace of required size.

Attach the lace material

Now tissue should be glued. Apply the decoupage glue on top surface, and let it dry. Place the decoupage tissue. Dip the sponge in water and squeeze out. With wet sponge dab all over the tissue.

Remove the layers from the decoupage tissue

Gluing the tissue

Let it dry for sometime. Then apply the chalk paint / acrylic pain of your choice on the blank areas and inside the box:

Now apply varnish on the tissue. I have used modpodge sparkle.

Then stick the embellishments of your choice:
