Kerala Mural – Buddha painting
I just completed painting this Kerala Mural Buddha. Recently I have finsihed Buddha painting on canvas. This is entirely different from that. Here is the painting:
This is the first time I have done Kearla Mural painting. I have mostly tried Krishna paintings and Radha and Krishna painting in Kerala Mural style. I have also tried Kerala mural on bamboo and saree.
Kerala mural painting is a traditional art form from the state of Kerala, India, known for its vibrant colors, intricate detailing, and depictions of mythological themes. These murals are typically found on the walls of temples, palaces, and churches, showcasing a unique blend of artistic elegance and spiritual significance. The common mythological themes in Kerala Mural are Krishna’s tale , Rama’s tale etc. Buddha is the recent ones. Buddhist themes in Kerala mural painting are relatively rare but historically significant. During earlier periods, Kerala was influenced by Buddhist culture, which played a role in shaping the region’s art and architecture. Over time, as Hinduism regained prominence, many Buddhist elements were integrated into Hindu traditions, including art forms like murals.I am haapy that I tried this Buddha painting.
