Kutch work embroidery on a saree blouse
My love for Kutch work embroidery started in the beginning days of embroidery learning. I have extensively used Kutch work on sarees and duppatas
I am so obsessed with big designs in Kutch work. I have already shared a saree with big paisley designs in kutch work. Similarly I have started paisley design on one more saree.
I had designed some jewels too using Kutch work. This is the first time I have embroidered a saree blouse using Kutch work. This saree blouse is for an Pochampally saree, which my friend had gifted me. I thought kutch work is the best to go with the Pochampally geometrical design. My decision became right decision. Here is the the blouse with Kutch work embroidery:
The saree is silk in grey color. The border and the pallu has Yellow, White and Green colors. I didn’t want to use white , because it becomes very close to grey and might merge with the color. So omitted white. I have chosen yellow, green and grey threads.
The Kutch work is in yellow and grey alternatively and the leaf design is in green.
The same design is extended to front and on the sleeves.
Here I have used silk threads for the entire embroidery.
I am learning 3D decoupage , will share my experience in coming posts.
Until then,
