Miniature Bakery- Clay Art
I learnt miniature making recently. Learning is never ending process. As we learn , we realize there is so much to learn. So I keep learning :). Though I had made some miniatures using different materials, had never done anything with clay. This time learnt making miniatures with air dry clay. Who doesn’t love miniatures? I have collection of miniatures, and about miniature tea sets I had shared in one of the previous posts. They look very cute and lovable.
Here is the miniature bakery I made,
It has all bakery items, cakes, buns, rolls, donuts….. The size of the entire bakery is approximately 12 cm. The first row has different types of cakes, second row has cupcakes and donuts and the third row is filled with buns.
Let us look into each item- these are little buns in different types:
And croissants:
Cupcakes and donuts:
And now the tiny cakes. There are many varieties, like fruit cake , strawberry and chocolate cake; but can’t taste:
This little cake has beautiful decoration and the roses on top of it. It measures hardly 4 cm.
This is a chocolate cake. You can see tiny cherries spread and happy birthday written 🙂
And the fruit cake, this is decorated with tiny fruits:
I learnt it from , clay artist Ms.Priya Nanthakumar. The workshop was a fun. I have learnt different arts and crafts from different teachers/trainers. And also being in teaching field, I always opine , apart from our zeal to learn, teacher inspires a lot to learn. Priya is one such teacher in the field of crafts. She never hides the techniques she knows. Most of the time , I face shortage of time and skill to learn the techniques given by her. Encourages the learners and corrects whenever we go wrong. She will be always in the list of teachers I admire.
Now festive season People are busy with preparation of Ganesh Chaturthi. Decoration of Mantapa for the arrival of Ganesha is fun. And after that Navaratri. Most of the readers have requested for the post about shopping places for dolls, for Gombehabba. Soon will post about that.
Until then,
-Ranjana

I think one has to have immense patience to make these.
