Mixed media Durga painting
This is a mixed media painting, which I completed during Navaratri. Though I had started much before, I am able to share on this auspicious occassion of Navaratri.
Here is the painting:
As I have mentioned , this is a mixed media painting. Means I have used, three types of paints, – food color, acrylic colors and poster colors. This is painted on an ivory paper.
Here is the closer view:
I have used my mother’s old saree, which I had redesigned. A part of the saree was left out , an I had used that for framing.Mother’s unconditional love is one of the most powerful and profound forms of love. It is a love that is given without any conditions, expectations, or limitations. It’s characterized by selflessness, nurturing, and unwavering support. This kind of love often provides a sense of security, comfort, and belonging, as mothers tend to love their children through all stages of life, regardless of successes, failures, or changes. It is a deep emotional connection, where a mother prioritizes the well-being and happiness of her child above her own.
A mother’s saree often holds deep sentimental value, representing not just a piece of clothing, but a tapestry of memories, culture, and love. It symbolizes her grace, heritage, and the countless moments she has shared.
I feel, my mother is blessings are coming threough Maa Durga, the source of unconditional love.
On this occassion wishing all of you Happy Navaratri to all of you. May Maa Durga bestow her blessings on us.
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु मातृरूपेण संस्थिता।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
Ending this post with this beautiful shloka.
Love, Laugh and live the life to the fullest,
