Mixed media on thread organizer

Mixed media refers to artwork that incorporates a variety of materials and techniques into a single piece. Artists may combine traditional materials like paint, ink, and pencil with non-traditional elements such as found objects, fabric, paper, metal, wood, or even digital elements. The beauty of mixed media lies in its versatility and the endless possibilities it offers for creativity and expression. Artists can experiment with texture, dimensionality, and visual effects by layering different materials and techniques, resulting in dynamic and visually intriguing artworks .

I always love to organize threads as I have collection of embroidery threads. I have organized Anchor threads also in a plastic organizer. I have bought one more organizer as , I have more anchor skeins. I had shared about this in my previous post, I had decided to do mixed media on this. It took a long for me to complete this.

I have used little bit of decoupage tachnique also. The top of the box:

This is an organizer to store threads, which I will be using for embroidery. So I have used the theme sewing , stitching and designing. I have used decoupage papers for the same.

On the sides I have used modelling paste for stencilling and some embellishments. The embellishments are also matching with the theme.

On the sides also I have used fashion theme. Here I have used transfer sheets and modelling paste for stencilling.

The front view

The front has drawrs. Here also I have used modelling paste for stencilling.The chalk paints are used to paint and highlighted with golden color wac. Here too I have used pices of decoupage papers.
