My stash of Zari border
Zari border is the must for any designer. I love to design with borders, it is easy and quick. I have designed many sarees with zari border. These borders help a lot to make over old silk sarees. I have few zari borders in my stash, which I will be using in my future products. I am sharing these here.
The top most one is tissue zari border, with beautiful embroidery of sequins. This is very beautiful one and I had bought this online. This I will be using to design a chanderi silk saree, in red color.
The next one is in silver color with cutwork embroidery, with gold thread as border. This , if attached to a saree, this will look like a cutwork saree. The next one is like a crochet lace, made using, thin strip of zari.
In this image, the first one is on netted fabric. It has sequins work. This one is very unique and I am still thinking on which kind of fabric I can use it. If you can suggest , please suggest in the comment box.
The next one is medium broad, zari border. This can be used in combination with other borders. The third one is colorful border with sequins weaving, this also can be used with combination with other borders. I am planning to use this as a border and I will embroider the saree with the threads of the same colors.
In the above picture, there are three thin borders. One is with the first two are with zardozi. The last one is gota patti, which is very much in trend nowadays.
The below ones are also thin zari borders.
Next two three are different. These are actually borders, but in the form of fabric. We need to cut as borders and then use.
The above one has beautiful procession scene weaved in it. This if used with silk or semi silk, will look very nice.
This one too, border asĀ fabric. This is not in gold color, but copper.
The above one is not actually border, but the motifs. These can be cut and appliqued on a fabric.
I have several other kind of borders. You must have viewed my stash of white borders. I will share some unique borders I have in my stash, and also the dresses and sarees designed using those in coming posts. Keep visiting my blog !
