My Stash – Some more Kalamkari Patches
Kalamkari patches are always my favourite. Though these give ethnic look to the dress or saree, keep the design modern too. I have designed many sarees using Kalamkari patches and borders. In some I have used Kalamkari fabrics too. Because of my love towards Kalamkari, I have many Kalamkari patches and fabric in my stash. Few days ago I had shared about Peacock Kalamkari patches in my stash. In this post sharing Kalamkari patches with God and Goddess designs, like Krishna , Rama etc.
Kalamkari patch showing Marriage occasion of Rama and Seeta:
The below one depicts the marriage occasion of Shree Rama and Seeta. This one is very unique one. I remember I had bought this from an exhibition.
I haven’t used it. I am planning to frame it.
Kalamkari Patches with Shree Krishna and Radha design:
Being fan and devotee of Shree Krishna, how I can miss having Kalmkari patches about Shree Krishna. Below are patches with Shree Krishna and Radha design.
Closer view :
This has one big design and few smaller design. This also I had bough in an exhibition. I though to make a saree, the number of small motifs won’t be sufficient. So I bought similar motifs in another exhibition. But this is darker on shade.
Durga design in Kalamkari patches:
Maa Durga design in Kalamkari has become very famous. It is always in trend. I have few hand painted Kalamkari patches in this design.
I had similar design in border. That I had used in designing a saree. These Kalamkari patches too, I will be using to design a saree.
There are many more in my stash. I will be sharing about all my stash of arts and craft materials with you. Keep coming to my blog for that.
