Recycling a clock with Sospesso art
Recycling is always a fun!
One fine day the clock in my class room fell down and broke at the edges. I didn’t want to throw that. Made use of this opportunity to practise, the recently learnt art Sopesso. You can see the sospesso art on a pot in the previous post. I have fallen in love with the Sospesso art : ).
Here is the clock which was broken:
And the new look of the clock is :
Does it not look like magic? Yes, this is magic of Decoupage and Sospesso art!
You can also read how I turned simple aluminium and craft table look colorful in these posts
I know , some of you want to know how I recycled the clock. It is very simple
First step is to apply primer on the clock. I applied 3-4 coats , as the color of the clock was black. And then applied Fevicryl acrylic color.
Then glued pictures cut from paper napkin. Paper napkins are available in market in very beautiful designs. I have explained how to use paper napkin for decoupage projects in the post: Decoupage with paper napkin . I chose paper napkin with images of birds:
It is almost ready. Fixed the glass on the top. It was broken at two corners. So stuck two flowers made using sospesso sheets. Attached, a small nest and bird embellishment which I had.
This is how it looks on the wall of my class room :
I have completed most of the craft works which I shared on the series WIP on Wednesday. Soon will share about those.
Until then,
Nice to visit your new blog page.
