Design of the week- redesigning an old silk saree

Redesigning an old silk saree has become my favourite nowadays. A few redesigned sarees are already shared in my blog as well as on my you tube channel.

The saree I redesigned this time is a very old one, I guess nearly 20 years old. It was in good condition but it had some stains.

The saree I have taken to redesign

I had a silk kantha wok fabric, which was preloved. With this I used Ikkat weave fabric.

The saree after redesign

I have attached the kantha silk fabric as upper border and the ikkat weave fabric as lower. With the left out fabric I have designed the blouse , with the kantha work fabric a patch.
