Simple Kutch work on saree
This saree which I was embroidering with Kutch work, I had shared in one of my WIP posts. Here I am sharing the saree.
The saree has all over motifs. Kutch work embroidery, originating from the Kutch region of Gujarat, India, is celebrated for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and artistic precision. This form of needlework often reflects the local culture and tradition, featuring motifs inspired by nature, folk tales, and geometric designs.
Kutch work motifs can be placed in different ways on the saree. Here I have used all over motifs. On the border , the motifs are placed on the half of the saree.
I have used two colors in silk threads. And the motifs with different colors are embroidered diagonally.
The pallu has all over motifs. I like this color combination a lot! Hope you also liked it 🙂
