Simple technique of transferring embroidery design
Transferring embroidery design on to fabric is the very tedious task, in embroidery process. There are several methods to accomplish the same. Sometimes, some of the methods are very messy. Here I am sharing a simple technique transfer embroidery design on fabric.
The materials required:
- The design of you choice, which is drawn on a paper or trace paper
- Chalk powder (If the fabric is dark in color, use white chalk powder, otherwise black chalk powder)
- Kerosene oil
- A toothbrush
- Pin

In a container or a plate, mix chalk powder and kerosene oil. The consistency should be similar to an acrylic paint.

Prick the design with a pin, along its outline.

Mix the chalk powder and kerosene
Place the design , where required on the fabric

Place the design on the fabric

Rub the mixture with tooth brush

The design transferred
This can be repeated all over the fabric, wherever the design is required. This is very quick method of transferring embroidery design on fabric. The design trace can be cleaned and preserved for the next usage.
