Some more tatted motifs
These tatted motifs , I was supposed to share on International Tatting Day.
International Tatting Day:
International Tatting Day is observed annually on April 1st. It celebrates the art and craft of tatting, a technique for creating intricate lace designs using a shuttle or a tatting needle. Tatting involves creating knots and loops to form delicate patterns, often used in edging for garments, accessories, and decorative items.
The origins of International Tatting Day are not precisely documented, but it likely emerged from the growing popularity of tatting as a traditional craft and the desire to promote and preserve this intricate form of lace-making.
On this day, enthusiasts of tatting around the world engage in various activities such as sharing their creations online, hosting workshops and demonstrations, and participating in community events centered around tatting. It serves as an opportunity for tatters to connect, inspire each other, and raise awareness about this beautiful and intricate craft.
I could not share, as I was too busy with other works. So sharing it today.
Here are the motifs I made :
Though I have designed few sarees and laces on dresses, but I hardly tried my hands in making tatted doilies. Rcently I made my first doily, and now I am addicted to making doilies. Taken up few doily designs to make. In between tried some motifs and small doilies.
