Some unique collection of Kumkuma Bharani
I have collection of Kumkuma Bharani. These are collected over the years. Some I have bought , when I visited some places and some are gifted. Some I have bought when I visited in exhibitions. Some are really very unique, like fish shaped, book shaped, Buddha shaped etc.
I had stopped adding to this collection of Kumkuma Bharanis, because I was not getting anything new. Also we are not travelling from past two years. Now we are living in online era, so buying many things online.
I found these online, so added these to my collection:
These are made of brass , with gold plated. These are studded with stones. I have similar collection in Kumkuma Bharani, the wooden bharanis are studded with Kundans. This has beautiful Goddess Lakshmi( Goddess of wealth according to Hindu mythology).
Each one is unique.
Almond shaped Kumkuma Bharani
This one is almond shape, the top cover has Lakshmi idol. You can see on the sides, the carvings studded with small kemp stones. This Kumkuma Bharani can be opened on the top and the Kumkuma can be stored inside:
Rectangular shaped
The below one is rectangular box shaped.
This also can be opened on top to put Kumkuma (Or Sindhoor). This has beautiful mould of Goddess Lakshmi on the top, and elephants and lotus.
Goddess Lakshmi seated :
Another one is very unique. Goddess Lakshmi seated on a seat. This also has beautiful moulds.
This also studded with beautiful kemp stones.
The seat has a drawer , which can be opened to store the Kumkuma.
I am happy , after years I added some Kumkuma bharanis to my collection. Hope I will get more opportunities soon to travel to places and add some more unique Kumkuma Bharanis to my collection.
Love, Laugh and Live the life to the fullest,
