Tatting and embroidery- Neck design
I use combination of tatting and embroidery. I love that combination and like to experiment with the combination. I have used tatting lace for neck designs on some dresses, and embroidery on some. But those are around the neck. On this I have used one side of the dress.
This is a kigh neeck kurti. Here is how I have designed it with tatting and embroidery.
The motifs are single thread tatting motifs. These are the ones I learnt in the beginning of my tatting days. I had some left out motifs. I combined this with embroidery. Here is tthe result:
The embroidery stitches used are stem stitch, herringbone stitch and lazy daisy stitch. Here is the close view of the design:
In between the flowers I have attached small kundans.Combining tatting and embroidery can result in unique and delicate pieces that showcase the best of both crafts.
