Work In Progress On Wednesday- Renew a saree
This week also I have taken up a project to renew a saree. This is my mother’s saree. I don’t want to give to anybody. It was torn in some places. So renewing it.
Another work, I am starting is designing of a saree with digital printed fabric. Here are the materials
Digital printed fabric with lace
The lace is very bright , which I had bought online. For a plain saree, the lace will look very gaudy, so I selected printed fabric. The printed tones down the brightness of the lace.
Last week’s WIP was about renewing a saree. And two weeks ago I had shared about Kalamkari patchwork .
Both are designed and ready to wear.
Renew a saree:
An old silk saree is renewed
The body part is left out fabric from saree, to which I have attached a contrast embroidered fabric. And used kundan to make it little bright.

I am happy with both the saree designs. Excited to start another saree. Also want to make Rakhees for this Raksha Bandhan. Will share about all these in the coming posts.
