Work In Progress – Mixed media on a Box
I had been thinking of decorating a box with mixed media. This box has drawers and this I will be using to store my embroidery threads. I habe already shared, how I have stored my embroidery threads. Now the embroidery threads also increased, so I need a bigger box. I have purchased 3 such boxes. For other two I have different ideas, this one I will be decorting with decoupage and mixed media.
I have applied the box with white gesso, and glued the decoupage paper on the same.

On this I will be applying blue and pink colors. I don’t have those colors, so ordered.
On sides I have used modelling paste, and created design using stencils.

I will be using the theme of fashion. I had some transfer sheets, with the same theme. Though of using the same. On the left and right sides I have used the transfer sheets.

There are still coloring and highlighting the designs. Hope to complete this by end of next week. I will share the completed product also, how I have stored my embroidery threads in this.
