Work In Progress on Wednesday – Clay Flowers

Quite busy because of the exam season  🙁 . Could not complete any of my WIPs. Recently attended a workshop to learn clay art. Clay art is really fun. Moulding the clay according to our imagination and creativity , is amazing. Sometimes, we will have something in mind and start working with clay, and at the end it turns out something disaster :). But most of the time , our imagination will be in the form of objects. I had shared about how I made miniature bakery.

Clay flowers:

Clay flowers are made using differnt kinds of clay. I’m making these flowers with air-dry clay. Air dry clay is very easy to work, but it dries very fast. So should take care not to keep the raw clay in open air. I could not complete the work, but have made one sample flower is each.

I’m making 3 kinds of flowers, Magnolia, Iris and Scabiosa. Hope to complete the work soon and share the photos of bunches with you.

I love to work with polymer clay too. Made some jewels from polymer clay. Will share in the coming post.
