Work In Progress On Wednesday- Decoupage on a wooden organizer
Happy Deepavali to All of you. May God Bless us all with health, happiness and prosperity.
I guess most of you are busy in this festive season. Even I. Cleaning my craft room, shopping for different projects I have started and yet to start. In my last post I had shared about the fabrics I have bought from Shrirampura cotton market. Designing sarees with those fabrics. The Kutch embroidery on a saree I started, a few weeks ago is going with a speed of tortoise 🙁 . With this speed I guess, I might take at least six months to complete that. Sometimes I feel,I start too many works at a time. I should complete one work and move on to the second.
Decoupage on a box
In between started to a decoupage work on a box. Just applied the gesso on the box. I have many decoupage papers, planning to use those.
Saree make over (From last WIP):
The saree makeover I had started and shared in work in progress, is completed. Though I had decided to use brocade, looking at the varieties of Kalamkari block printed material available in the market, used Kalamkari material.
The saree is old soft silk saree.
I wanted it to look trendy. So removed the zari border and attached the Kalamkari border. To highlight it , I used brocade on both the sides of the Kalamkari border.
For the pallu also , I have used the Kalamkari fabric:
Many fabrics from the market have entered my craft room, with the hope they will be used in some designs. Soon to complete all the work whatever I have planned. Will share all the design with you.
Until then,
Love, Laugh and Live the life to the fullest,
