Work In Progress On Wednesday – Kamalkadai

This week I have started neck design using KamalKadai(Kamalkari), embroidery and another neck design with tatting.

KamalKadai:

Kamalkadai is a weaving embroidery , which can be used for designing saree and dresses.  Already I have shared designing a saree using KamalKadai. This time using it for neck design on a dress.

This week’s work :

I have transferred the design  on the neck. Normally cone threads are used for KamalKadai, but I am using cotton thread.

Tatted lace for neck design:

I have received a tatted lace from my friend.  I am attaching this lace on a kurti:

It is really beautiful and unique design. I will reveal the design once it is stitched to the dress. 🙂
