Work In Progress On Wednesday – Kutchwork border

I am busy in Navaratri celebrations, so could not update the blog.  I have shared the video on my you tube channel. I love to work with Kutchwork. This is my favourite embroidery form. Recently I had shared a Kutchwork saree. This week I have satarted one more Kutchwork embroidery project. This is Kutchwork border on a saree.

The kutchwork border on a saree

This is a cotton saree, with borders on both sides. I will be embroidering along the border , also the kutchwork motifs inside. Tha amount of work is more, but the saree will look very grand though elegant.

I am using silk threads in five colors. Also will be embroidering with mirror work, as shown in the design. I am very happy with the initial outcome.
