This week’s Work In Progress is fabric painting on a stitched dress. I have traced the design of mandala on a dress.

Recently I haven’t worked on any fabric painting. The one I’m working is Kerala mural on a saree. Still some work pending in that.

Soft Pastel Painting- Buddha painting

Meanwhile attended a workshop to learn soft pastel painting. Sharing the pictures of the paintings.

This I have learnt from Artist Mr. Kalpesh Kumar. He has conducted and is conducting many workshops and thereby teaches many forms of arts.I have also learnt pallet painting from him. The workshops and ideas of Kalpesh , are very innovative. He teaches all the required techniques of the art within stipulated time.  Looking at the samples, I thought, it might not be possible for me to complete the work. But with his guidance , not only I could finish the painting, also confident enough to try  another painting myself.  Being a teacher myself, I understand how important and difficult for any teacher to boost the confidence of a learner.
