Work In Progress On Wednesday-More tatting
This week again making motifs using tatting. I am attaching a tatted lace on a saree. I need some more motifs for that saree. This week I am making some motifs using tatting. These are magic square patch work motifs. I need at least 6 motifs. One motif is being made. This is the work in progress this week.
The thread used here is anchor thread in size 20. The shade is new one in anchor. I had got 8 rolls for making the lace. But it was not sufficient, and during lockdown I could not get Anchor threads in this shade. But one of my friends helped me to get this shade. So I could complete the 9 mtr lace for saree and now making some motifs.
In one of my posts, I had shared that I have made hundreds of four petals motifs using tatting. That was for my friend. She came today and showed me the gown with tatted flowers attached. It has become very pretty. I never thought it will be so good with simple tatted motifs.
On the top of the gown, the motifs are attached very close. Here is the closer view of the top.
And on the bottom of the gown, the motifs are attached like this.
In the middle of the each motif, a small golden color bead is attached.
The sleeves are attached with split ring lace.
The back of the gown is attached with a magic square motif:
The golden color beads are attached on this motif too.
You don’t have to go for any complicated design , a simple design also makes the dress to look elegant.
