Work In Progress on Wednesday- Practicing Machine Embroidery
I haven’t started any new work. Trying to complete whatever work I have started. Also I was working on some handmade jewellery order. Phew! that’s done and sent the order today. My craft room is messed up. I have to clean up and organize that again.
Meanwhile, I’m practicing machine embroidery. Though I love hand embroidery, for some works like patchwork, cut-work and filling the designs with satin stitch can be made very fast using machines. If sewing machines are not used for long, it is difficult to work with them. That’s what happened with my embroidery machine. It took many days to service the machine and make it working again. But I’m happy, now it is working.
So, I could finish the Kalamkari patchwork on a saree, which I had shared in WIP few days ago. I have attached the Kalamkari border along the border . The set had border and few motifs. The motifs are attached along the border:
I have attached few motifs on the pallu:
If it is worn, it looks like :
My embroidery machine worked smoothly. So planning to stitch and embroider more and more 🙂
