Work In Progress on Wednesday- Saree design with brocade
From past few weeks I’m working on saree design and make over of old sarees. I had some fabrics, which I had bought from some markets like Chindi Bazar (Sri rampura cotton market) I had some ideas of designing while buying those fabrics. Trying to use those ideas while designing the sarees. So this week I have picked up a simple silk cotton fabric, on which I’m planning to attach the brocade border I have. Here are those fabrics:

I will also use some Kundan motifs on the saree.
Few weeks ago I had shared about embroidering on a Kurti. First I had though about using mirror work on the kurti.But I dropped the idea, and used small Kundans on it. Embroidered it with simple running stitch on the motifs on the dress.

Sometimes simple stitches very elegant look .
As I have shared in my previous post, already started the Kutchwork on saree. Hope to complete that soon.
