Work In Progress On Wednesday- Tatting lace for a saree
Tatting , which I had learnt around twenty years ago. I had struggled a lot to learn this craft. Though I had designed a saree and few dresses using tatted motifs, never had tried to make lace. Last week, I had been to a crafts store , where I found a beautiful multicolored tatting thread. I thought of making a lace for a saree from it. So that is the work in progress of the week.
This is not even half meter of lace. I have to make minimum ten meters of lace to design a saree. And also I should make some motifs to fill all over the saree. It will definitely take along time. But still I could take courage because recently I completed making a lace and used this for dress design. Here how it looks on a dress:
This work inspired me to start another lace 🙂 .
As usual whatever embroidery works I have started are still in progress. I have completed the mixed media work on a box. Will share about that in coming work in progress post.
Until then,

After a long time only am trying to find time for myself and that had helped me in focusing. After seeing lots crafting despite their busy lives am too inspired. Oh sorry for boring you.
