Work In Progress on Wednesday- tholu bommalata design clock
I have already written about tholu bommalata art which is leather puppetry art. Once this art was used to make puppets on leather and people used to play mythological stories using these puppets. But now this art is used in home decor and design. Many tholu bommalata artists sell lamp shades. I wanted to learn this art and now I have got the opportunity. Here is my learning and the work in progress in making a clock using tholu bommalata art:
I haven’t worked with distress ink and alcohol ink for a long time. I was afraid it should not dry up. So started working again using distress ink and alcohol inks. Made some background using the distress ink technique:
These I will be using to make some cards as well as some mixed media projects.
These are the works in progress. Meanwhile finished designing a clock using mixed media to gift to my friend. Here it is:
To the same friend , designed an envelope and a card wishing on his birthday. Here too I have used mixed media technique:
