Work In Progress- Sharing the art journal I made
I have started many embroidery and designing works. I’m not sharing any work in progress pictures this week. Because I’m too excited to share about the Art Journal I made .
Here the story goes; I had a planner , I had designed only the front page of it. The rest of the pages were plain papers. I used it for one year. It has all scribbling, from designing sketches, notes about different crafts, accounts and also some notes on mathematics chapters I study. I had tried making a journal to store my design sheets, which did not come out as I thought. So I thought of buying an art journal. But the crafter inside me didn’t allow :). I just browsed through some of the art journal ideas online. The distress ink and alcohol ink techniques attracted me the most. Anyhow I had decided to learn distress ink techniques. So I made this art journal using distress ink techniques.
I have different sections for my different interests, so first made all the designs using distress ink for each sections. And got it bound with some paling papers in between and designed the front page with mixed media techniques.
Let me start showing the art journal, from the front page, I have used a bird house design themes here.
Now the art journal opens, the first section is to scribble my design ideas. So designed it with flower theme.
The back side of this page too designed with butterfly designs:
The next section for writing my schedules, time table, planning and appointments. So designed with clock theme. Here stamping and embossing techniques are used.
I keep sketching saree designs and dress designs. So the next section is for those sketching
This to write and keep track of my accounts( in which always to pay is more than income 🙁 )
Though I’m not a frequent traveler, I write about two or three trips I make in an year. Now on wards I will write the travel memories in this journal :). This section is to write my travel memories.
This is the diary section:
And below are some miscellaneous pages I made to learn the techniques of distress ink. I just added to the journal, so that I can refer all the techniques I learnt , whenever required.
Now you must have understood, my excitement to share about the art journal I made. It took quite a long time to make this art journal. But I’m extremely happy with the outcome. I learnt many techniques of distress ink.
