Work In Progress – Shrinathji Painting
This art form, I wanted to learn from long time. This year has been lucky for me in terms of travel and learning art. I travelled to Brindavan, Haridwar , Rishikesh etc. After returning from Brindavan, I got a chance to learn Shrinathji painting from a master artist from Nathdwara itself. It was twelve days workshop. I learnt both Pichwai and this painting.

At this stage now
Shrinathji’s idol is carved on the wood. On that the base paints are applied. The shading has to be made and gold foil should be applied.

On the carved mantap and on dress , jewellery etc the gold foil need to applied. I guess by this weekend I will complete this work. I am very excited to share with you all the same. 🙂
