Works In Progress- One more embroidery and Painting On Canvas
This week started one more embroidery work and painting on canvas. I was supposed to transfer the design of the both, yesterday itself. But I went for picnic to a nearby place with my art school friends. I know, during this pandemic, it is risky to go out. But the place was a private farm house. Outside visitors are not allowed. The picnic was really refreshing. A much needed outing, after lockdown.
So , I am starting the works today. One is , embroidery on a saree. The design is transferred on the saree. I was just checking the colors of the threads and kundans.
After finilasing the the threads and kundans, tried one motif.
I don’t know about the stitch. I am just filling with two threads, somewhat like running stitch.
Another work I started is Kerala Mural Painting on rolled canvas. I have painted Kerala mural on canvas board, saree and on bamboo. This is the first time trying Kerala Mural on rolled canvas.
I have little practise in Kerala Mural now. But still I need to draw and practise some elements and designs used in Kerala Mural. This canvas is 24X36 inch canvas. The biggest among, whatever Kerala Mural I made. It will take at least 3 months to complete this work. But I am always excited to start any art work, and share with you. Keep coming back to this blog, to know and learn more about different arts and crafts of the world.
